TAAG Angola Airlines selects B787 business class seating from Unum

08 April 2025: Flag carrier TAAG Angola Airlines has selected Unum to be the business class seating supplier for its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The project is part of TAAG’s ongoing investment in enhancing passenger experience and fleet modernisation. Miguel Carneiro, Chief Commercial Officer at TAAG, states: “Introducing Unum One into our business class cabin gives us the tools to enhance comfort and quality for our passengers. This upgrade aligns with our ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class travel experience.”

The Unum One lie-flat seat, chosen by TAAG, features Unum’s patented Scimitar Seat mechanism which offers exceptional comfort, infinite adjustability and exceptional Zero G. Its simplicity and elegance of design, combined with a careful choice of materials, creates a seat with maximum comfort and minimum weight.

Chris Brady, founder and CEO of Unum, says: “The launch of our first customer programme with TAAG is a major milestone, and TAAG’s choice of Unum One reflects their commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.

“Our seats provide greater comfort for passengers while making life easier for airlines, delivering both luxury and refinement. We’re proud to support TAAG and look forward to seeing Unum One in flying aboard their Boeing B787s soon.”

Panasonic Avionics in-flight entertainment will be integrated into the business class suites, with Boeing Global Services handling the cabin integration for the project. The seats are due to be delivered in 2026.
