The Unum team have decades of experience of designing, certifying and manufacturing innovative seating products for the aerospace market.

We know that working in this sector demands more than just meeting basic standards. Therefore, we follow best practices from aerospace industry standards to ensure both product and operational excellence. We utilise AS 9145 for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), guaranteeing robust product development processes. Also, we routinely conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) according to AS 9102, ensuring that every new component and product meets quality requirements from the very first unit produced.

Civil Aviation Authority approval

We are based in the UK, and operate under our local regulator the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), who oversee both our design organisation and our production organisation approvals.
