Our winning streak continues with RedCabin Trinity Awards triumph

Dallas, Texas, USA - 14^th June 2024: Unum Aircraft Seating’s Door 2.0 – The Zen Door won the Cabin Service Concept category at the inaugural RedCabin Trinity Awards, which took place during the Aircraft Cabin Innovation Summit at Fort Worth, Dallas, on 13 June.

Created alongside MGR Foamtex, Door 2.0 marries inspired design and functionality, as a lightweight solution to the privacy versus weight challenge in business class seating. With folds inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami, the patented solution offers refined elegance through design simplicity without compromising on Unum’s sustainability values or adding challenges to certification. 

At the awards ceremony, Door 2.0 was praised for its ability to deliver privacy to business class passengers, at a significantly lighter weight than current solutions.

Alan McInnes, VP Business Development at Unum, who accepted the accolade on the night says: “This is Unum’s second award in as many weeks – an achievement we are immensely proud of. Door 2.0 represents our commitment to innovative design that prioritises passenger comfort and experience, and underscores the dedication of our team and our partners at MGR Foamtex.”

This award comes hot off the heels of Unum’s Cabin Design Concept win at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards for its Unum One seat, which took place on 31 May in Cannes.
